Took it back in and after about an hour of searching they found the condenser leaking on the right side of the car, you could see it down a gap in the plastic panel on the side of the condenser. You could see the oil/dye.
I have the same problem on my 05 Mondeo Zetec passenger door, have to tug really hard to get it to open, internal catch and central locking is fine. I have just removed the door card and examined the mechanism, I think that the pushrod going down to the release mechanism doesn't quite go far enough, a slight extra push by hand on the inside
Ok at the tailgate latch the pins are as follows. Pin 1 - pulsed feed (once )from BCMii to activate the latch. Pin 2 - earth used for ajar /latch motor and also release switch earth to BCMii. Pin 3 - tailgate ajar earth out to BCMii. Basically you should have 12 volts across puns 1&2 when you activate the tailgate.
SOURCE: 2002 door locks failed ford escape. Using a multimeter, check for voltage at the lock/unlock solenoid. Disconnect the connector and probe the unlock side with the other lead on a good ground. Hit the unlock twice and see if you get voltage. If yes, the solenoid may be defective or if not, you could possibly have a bad relay.
I have a 2012 titx 2.0 163. I've tried to enable auto locking but it's failed. Following instructions above I did the following; (can't remember the exact wording) Read BCM, in central config change to "locking with speed" I think on page 2 and "auto re-locking" I think on page 5. Save the file then write to BCM and then write to IPC.
I found replacing the lock fairly easy, and only paid £20 for the bit. You will need a lock from the equivalent door on the donor car. If you look behind the hoop on the car body the lock engages with, you should see a button. This tells you what type of lock you have, without taking anything apart.
Support. Here listed in the passenger door lock problem i have mentioned in my other thread, Does anyone here have this problem. To find out try this: 1. Get in the car with a passenger 2. Shut the doors 3. Lock the car from the button under the hazzard light, it should glow yellow 4. now open the drivers
In colder climates or specific conditions, the door lock mechanism of your Mondeo can freeze or become jammed, preventing the door from opening even when using the exterior handle. Applying a de-icing agent or penetrating oil can help alleviate the lock’s condition and allow the door to open.
